Smart Cities, Transforming Services 2017 brings together parliamentary members, smart city demonstrators and urban innovators who are driving the UK’s vision to be a world leader in smart technology research, development and commercialisation forward.
The ways in which cities are becoming technologically ‘smart’ differ widely – but the one thing they all have in common is the way they gather data to drive change and economic growth. These changes are not only used to improve environmental factors such as pollution and energy efficiency, and urban services such as transportation, connectivity, traffic flow and congestion – but are also enabling the commercialisation of city data.
However, smart cities aren’t just about technical and economic advancements, they also focus on citizen wellbeing and ways to improve the lives of people who live, work and play in cities.
Taking place on 1st November at the Victoria Park Plaza, this one day conference will give delegates the unique opportunity to learn how Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data and real time intelligence are transforming city services and unleashing economic growth across the UK.
